What is Staging?

Modeling your building data is easy with Onboard’s Staging tool. It is an intuitive interface designed to streamline your data modeling experience. Think of it as a ‘backstage’ where data is prepared and organized into the complete model which is seen in the ‘live’ building on the Explorer view. So how does one move data from the backstage to the mainstage? We do this by ‘publishing' the modeled equipment and their points. This involves three steps; label the data, validate it, and then publish it. Our staging area guides provide step-by-step instructions on each aspect of the data modeling.
